On November 12th, the Castle Rock Quilt Club Charity Quilt Committee donated 18 children’s quilts and 8 receiving blankets to Liz, Tamara and Carrie of the Help and Hope Center for their Families Holiday Shop. The Help and Hope Center supports Douglas and Elbert County residents navigate troublesome times with dignity.
Our in-person meeting was cancelled in January due to more snowy weather, so you will have to wait until February for our wearable fashion show. In February, bring your wearable from our August “Snip, Rip, Drop and Pass” activity. Club members will present a unique “fashion” show and tell of all the wearables we made with the Kona solids.

The charity committee has collected 21 Bingo quilts for Wellspring and 17 quilts
for the Help & Hope Center. What a huge success for both of these projects! And we will continue to collect donations for next year as well. So keep up the good work!

Just before Christmas, representatives from our quilt club sent up cheers along with Wellspring staff and STARS at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Unity on Park. This hotel renovation project has become beautiful new independent living apartments for adults with I/DD. Thanks to the collaborative work of CRQC’s members, the residents will receive quilts made from our Bingo activity last April as they moving in to their first apartments!
