Activities

In this section you will find information on CRQC’s current activities.

  • UFO Challenge
We are participating in American Patchwork & Quilting’s 2024 UFO challenge. This simple challenge, with a hint of monthly mystery, is sure to encourage you to complete some of those unfinished projects and share them with the club.
  • Workshops
Sometimes we schedule our monthly speaker to give a workshop. This page lists currently scheduled workshops.
  • Handwork Group
The CRQC handwork group meets twice a month on Tuesday afternoons. Bring any type of handwork project for an afternoon of creativity and fun.
  • Panel Challenge
Whether you received a panel at our holiday exchange or have one lurking in your stash, make plans for it! Complete your panel project by our July meeting for a chance at an amazing prize, and then enter it in the 2024 Douglas County Fair Quilt Show.
  • I Spy Block Exchange
If you want to make an I Spy Quilt but you don’t have a large variety of fabric, join our I Spy block exchange!
  • Postcard Exchange
Sign up via email to receive your partner’s name and address. Make and send a 4″ x 6″ postcard in February and you’ll receive one in return. An online photo album of all the February 2024 postcards will be posted at the end of the month.
  • The Douglas County Fair and Rodeo
Have you completed a quilt or other quilted project this year? Enter it in the fair! The fair is held each year around the beginning of August at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Castle Rock, Colorado. (The 2024 dates are July 26th through August 4th) Members of CRQC work at the fair to check in the quilts, help during judging day, hang the quilts and work in the quilt exhibit during the hours the exhibit hall is open.
