The Castle Rock Quilt Club (CRQC), founded in 1990, celebrates quilts and quilt makers of all skill levels. At our monthly meetings, held on first Tuesdays at 6pm, we welcome talented and engaging speakers who offer fascinating programs and trunk shows. In addition to meetings, you can expect a flurry of other activities such as day retreats, overnight retreats, occasional Saturday UFO sew days and exciting personal challenges. Our charity cheerleaders are the best and keep us motivated to give of ourselves to others. If desired, you can participate in skill building Block Lotteries or a Block of the Month group. We have a lot of self-starters who create groups around particular interests such as hand sewing or feather weight machines. Two annual parties — an ice cream social in the park in August and a catered holiday party in December — give us a chance to celebrate our special friendships.
Over the years, our club has steadily grown, then dwindled (thanks, Covid) and now expanded to a healthy roster of 80+ members! But there is always room for one more — YOU! To join CRQC, fill out our new member form and bring it to the next meeting with $30 cash or check for dues. Membership dues are payable each August, so if you join after January, your first year’s dues will be $15.
