DESCRIPTION:We started the New Year (by Zoom) with a million dollar idea from Pat Speth of Nickel Quilts. Stop merely collecting those 5-inch charms\, and start using them to make incredible quilts! Pat showed us how to make various cuts to four patches and half-square triangles and then rearrange them into designs from her patterns and books. So. Much. Fun. (This works with layer cakes\, too.) DESCRIPTION:The CRQC Winter Quilt Retreat will be February 19th– 22nd\, 2026\, Thursday thru Sunday at the Holiday Inn & Suites.  Their address is 6638 S Nome St\, Centennial\, CO 80111.  Arrival time is 2:00 pm or later\, on Thursday and departing time is 4:00 pm on Sunday.  Minimum attendees are 28\, maximum is 32. \nThe cost for 3 nights double occupancy with 2 dinners is $295 per person (2 queen beds); with only 1 dinner cost is $255.  The cost for 3 nights single king is $480; with only 1 dinner cost is $440.  Dinners will be on Friday and Saturday.  Breakfast is included with each overnight stay.  Costs also include ballroom rental\, service charges and taxes.  If you choose to have only one dinner\, you will be able to choose between Friday or Saturday. \nThere will be no dinner on Thursday nor any lunches.  The hotel has a restaurant and bar and is usually open for all meals EXCEPT lunches on the weekends.  Each guest room has a microwave\, mini-fridge and Keurig coffee maker.  There are several fast food and other restaurants in the area. \nThe retreat is currently full. It’s time for the annual Castle Rock Quilt Club auction\, which will be held at 6:00 pm on May 5th at New Hope Presbyterian Church. Tyson Newhouse is back as our live auctioneer\, guaranteed to level up this exciting event! \nAnyone is welcome to attend and bid on items! There is no fee for visitor attendance this month. Please note that ONLY CASH OR CHECK will be accepted as payment for purchases. (No credit cards or online payments like Paypal or Venmo.) You will keep track of your wins and prepare your check (or cash\, round up to avoid needing change) so we can keep the check out moving smoothly. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to expand your stash! \nTo CRQC Members:\nStart cleaning out your quilt rooms\, closets and crafty corners — wherever it is that you stash your stash. Decide what you want to donate for our annual fundraiser; then download and print a bid sheet for each donation or bundle. You do NOT need to list a starting bid — just a description of what you are donating. If donating fabric yardage\, please list amount. Less expensive or smaller items such as notions\, threads\, rulers\, etc. should be bundled together and placed in a Ziploc bag. If you have multiple pieces of fabric\, either tie them together or put them in a clear plastic bag. Bring your bid sheets and items to the church at 5:00 pm on Tuesday\, May 5th. SUMMARY:2026 Fall Quilt Retreat
DESCRIPTION:The 2026 fall Quilt Retreat will be at The Hideaway Inn and Conference center. Dates are Monday October 26th thru Thursday October 29th 2026. \nThe cost of this retreat is $440 per person double or $625 per person single. This includes 3 breakfasts and 3 dinners\, meeting room rental\, guest room and tax.  No lunches\, but Monument is just 6 miles away.  There are also a couple of small community refrigerators.
