The purpose of the quilt show is to contribute to the Castle Rock community’s knowledge and appreciation of the art of quilting by displaying quilted items for public viewing and to encourage and inspire quiltmaking.
White glove attendants are provided the entire show and every effort will be put forth to protect your quilts.
ENTRY FORM: Each entry must include a photograph and a separate entry form. Entries are limited to 3 items per exhibitor. No entry forms will be accepted AFTER September 8, 2008. If we receive too many entries for the quilts to be displayed effectively, they will be accepted by postmark - first come, first served.
LIBRARY AGREEMENT: This show is cosponsored by the Douglas County Libraries. An Agreement for Incoming Art Work Loan form is required by DCL. Please return it with your entry.
PHOTO: a 3"x 5"or 4"x 6" color photo MUST be attached to each entry form. Entries may be unfinished for the photo. Please write your name, the name of the entry and its dimensions on the back of the photograph.
HANGING SLEEVE:
Entries over 20" wide must have a four-inch (4") sleeve attached to the top back of the quilt.LABEL: Entries MUST have a label sewn on the back of the item which includes the entrant's name.
ACCEPTANCE: Entries must be completed, clean, undamaged and free of debris and odor. All items must have 3 layers and be quilted by hand or machine.
QUILT DROP OFF : Entry MUST be delivered to the library Thursday, October 2 between 12 and 4 pm. Late arrivals will not be accepted. You will receive a receipt when you drop off your item(s) which you will be required to show when you pick items up on Saturday.
QUILT PICK UP: Pick up after the show on Saturday from 4 - 4:45 pm . Please make arrangements for someone to pick up your item if you cannot be there. No entry will be released without your receipt.
PERMISSION TO PHOTOGRAPH: By submitting your entry, you are giving permission for your entry to be photographed by viewers.
WITHDRAWAL FROM SHOW: If we received your application we are counting on your participation in the show. If you are unable to participate, please contact us as soon as possible.
