More difficult quilt..
3 yards of the light fabric, which includes fabric for a middle large square app. 38 inches where you can embroider by hand, on machine, or fill in with tree blocks or applique whatever you design or create.
2 1/2 yards of the dark fabric for making app. 24 blocks that are large, medium, small.
(6) fabrics 1/3 yard each in different prints of a medium color to go with your light and dark for the smaller blocks.
This does NOT include the borders. you determine what color and size you want your borders.
The app. size of this quilt will be W/O borders 60" x 72"
Keep in mind that if you choose to do the more difficult quilt, you will be making your 12 inch blocks all along and we will hand out the six and nine inch blocks next year app. 03/2012. At that time you will only need to do the smaller blocks to finish your quilt, but in the meantime you can work on that middle section. I would suggest to give yourselves a couple of inches of extra fabric in case of shrinkage with embroidery. So cut that middle section 40 inches square.
