The Castle Rock Quilt Club sponsors four special awards in the quilt exhibit:
Sue Heller won Best of Show-Open Quilts and was awarded $50 and a 1 yr. membership to the Castle Rock Quilt Club. Sue said "Thank you so much for the $50 award and one year membership in your club. I am honored to have my quilt selected for "Best of Show." Of course I will use my prize money to buy more fabric! I look forward to meeting all of you."
Marilyn Vap won Best of Category-Hand Quilted and was awarded $25. Marilyn thanked us "for the award for Best of Category - Hand Quilted. It was fun to enter this event, and exciting to win."
AC LLanes quilt won Best of Show Quilt-Jr. He was awarded $25. AC said "Thank you for sponsoring the Junior Category for the Douglas County Fair. I hope that you will continue this sponsorship for many years to come."
Marie LLanes won the ribbon for the Viewer’s Choice Award. She spoke at quilt club about quilting what you love and the importance of having fun while you quilt.
